The Infernal Sea has already appeared here on the occasion of their excellent second album, The Great Mortality. For those who missed it, The Infernal Sea is one of the prominent black metal bands in the British scene. Founded in 2009, the band has had a rising career since they were signed by Cacophonous Records in 2016, the label that released The Great Mortality. Now the English outfit is on the roster of Apocalyptic Witchcraft Recordings and has recently released the new album Negotium Crucis. Thematically, the new album continues the medieval themes dear to the English band, but whereas The Great Mortality focused on the Black Death that befell Europe in 1348, Negotium Crucis explores the dark nature of the Templars and the Crusades. Musically, it encompasses different nuances, the brutal, the obscure, the folk, the epic, with blck'n'roll elements. To conclude, Negotium Crucis is definitely an excellent and highly recommended album.
