Good demo from German Stellarvore, duo from Aachen active since 2013. Tehom, the title of the demo, contains six tracks for a total playtime of about 35 minutes. The demo is solid; the first real song on the demo, “Fire and Brmstone”, has a good impact and immediately gives the impression of a powerful, massive sound. Sometimes some powerful parts remind me of Norwegian Koldbrann, other times, when they speed up, Taake. But Stellarvore combine this powerful side with a more meditative side, which is practically translated into more atmospheric moments; these two aspects are well combined, although sometimes you cannot help but feel a lack of unity. Tehom offers definitely a pleasant listening experience and the production gives the sound a genuine and underground feeling. I recommend therefore to give a listen to Tehom and support the band through the Bandcamp player below.
