The riffing is powerful, full of fury and rage and for sure it pays tribute to Scandinavian black metal, above all Dark Funeral in my opinion, although I also hear a big deal of influence from hard-core in it.
We do not even need to talk about production and technical performance: both are just perfect starting from Phil himself who varies a wide range of vocal styles.
To conclude, this is an absolutely cutting-edge EP and of course a must listen!
Scour was released on July 15 2016 via Anselmo's Housecore label. The first live show of the band will be as headliners at Blastfest 2017.
