Ossaert (Netherlands): “Pelgrimsoord”

A year after the stunning first album Bedehuis, the sinister Dutch black metal entity Ossaert is back with the new album Pelgrimsoord that is perhaps even more stunning. Pelgrimsoord is hypnotic and malicious but solemn at the same time.
While the core and skeleton of the sound of Bedehuis remain intact, Pelgrimsoord expands towards vaster horizons and adds an almost majestic layer of dark solemnity to what was delivered in the previous release. Pelgrimsoord immortalizes its oath to the dark side with immense class and invigorated heretic ardor, superb riffing, and a terrifying vocal performance.
In conclusion, Ossaert has created a sonic representation of eeriness and murkiness. Their music is like a vortex that will absorb you before you realize that you have been ravished; in other words, you will soon get addicted to this album, and every time you listen to it, you will love it more. It goes witout saying that Pelgrimsoord is one of the best relases in 2021.
