Invested with the mysterious aura of the moniker, Ossaert is a new entity in the black metal scene born in 2019 in Zwolle, Netherlands, as a solo-project at the hands of mastermind P. One year later, we already have the first masterpiece, Bedehuis, released on Valentine's Day but unleashing hatred, nihilism, and misanthropy. Bedehuis contains four paeans of the most malignant type, for a total duration of approximately 35 minutes. All of them are savage and ferocious, but what is most disconcerting is the clean vocals that give the atmosphere a theatrical charge, but for this reason even more dramatic. The album sways between predatory aggression and melodic, contemplative passages, but the pummelling oppression of the wall of sound persists throughout it. The very moment you start listening to it, its macabre beauty will bewitch you.
