Necrolust (Italy): “Inferno”

Sicily has been the home of many historical bands of Italian metal underground, so I was happy to receive material from a Sicilian band. Necrolust is a black metal outfit from Catania founded in 2006 and dedicated to the cult of Satan and the obscure. Their sixth and new album Inferno is in the wake of raw black metal, very abrasive and minimalist. Although this is the sixth album, it has many flaws in terms of production, but above all, in terms of technical performance: the songs are played poorly, especially the guitars. It seems as if the members of this band learned to play three months ago. Additionally, musically speaking, absolutely nothing original. I recommend these Sicilian guys to make a bigger effort next time to impress an experienced audience. Ad maiora!
