Födelse is a Swedish word that means birth and could easily be associated with something new like the first album of a new band. But Swedish Murdryck is far from being a new band: it was founded in 1999 in Vänersborg and Födelse is their fifth release as well as second full-length album. Far from surprising you with melodies and riffs never heard before, Murdryck is able to give a new twist to old school black metal. Textured and more varied, Murdryck’s Födelse delivers high quality, aggressive and nasty black metal where riffs and heavy drums play an essential role. Recommended.
