If you are looking for a good harsh, uncompromising black metal album, well then Stormkult by Dutch Kaeck can definitely be the album you are looking for. The band was formed in 2014 and this album already reached a very high standard; after all, the band consists of experienced musicians from outstanding bands of the Dutch scene, such as Sammath, Noordelingen and Kjeld. For a full length, Stormkult is a bit short: it contains only six songs for a total playtime of 33 minutes. However in these 33 minutes, Kaeck raise a wall of sound with a most furious and harsh riffing. The album itself is a real punch in your face, but nevertheless you will find a certain melody in it. The efficacy of Kaeck’s breathless assault is also increased by the excellent production of the album.
