Elffor has been pioneering the black metal & dungeon synth scene ever since its inception in 1995 by its founder Eöl in Biscay, Spain. Having released no less than fifteen albums, Elffor is for sure one of the most prolific bands in black metal history. The brand new Unholy Throne of Doom is the latest in this amazing series, a magnificent album offering us four tracks of epic & atmospheric black metal all clocking in at over 10 minutes each, and providing epic, atmospheric black metal with ambient / dungeon vibes. Although the songs are long, they are very enthralling thanks to the variety of tones of each. The gem is perhaps the last one, “Kaosaren Profezia” culminating in a truly majestic, killer bagpipe solo that adds Celtic feel to the song. Masterpiece.
