I'm already at the middle of the album Dominum Ex Mortis and already feel bored. I have listened to this kind of raw black metal sound with this kind of vocal work and this kind of pacing so many times, with so many similarities with other bands from the late 90s and early 00s (from France, Portugal, etc.) that honestly I can only say that if you like raw black metal with minimum atmosphere then this is for you.
Edenkaiser is a band from Barcelona - Spain, formed in 2009, presenting a thrashened black metal created by the hand of four musicians. Dominum Ex Mortis is their first full-length. I have already seen some bands achieving total brilliance with their first albums but that's far from a required thing. A first album is a work of initiation, a path that is taken and then broken if it needs to be, so what I think is that this release is not going to stand the test of time; you will listen to it, maybe like it, but you'll forget about it when you put into your ears the stuff that really deserves your love and dedication.
I think Edenkaiser has the proper skill to become more ominous than it is, with much more dynamic drum patterns and much more in touch with their very own lyrical concept. Just let it grow.
