Beyond Man is a Norwegian band from Trondheim active for over a decade but only recently released their first album after a demo from 2008 and a single from 2020. The band is formed by experienced musicians including S. ex drummer of One Tail, One Head, and above all frontman W. active in bands such as Behexen, Mare, Fides Inversa, and with a past in other prestigious bands such as One Tail, One Head and Misþyrming. The self-titled debut album delivers relatively plain black metal but with influences from several other genres such as thrash metal, doom, and death metal. Far from being truly impressive, Beyond Man's first album is definitely a solid and highly captivating release that will propel the band directly into the international scene. I expect to hear much more about this band, so I highly recommend listening to their debut album.
