The name may sound strange to you, but actually Baxaxaxa are a milestone in German underground black metal. Formed as early as in 1992, just as the wave of Norwegian black metal was making a breakthrough on the international scene, the band has been inactive for many years. After the Hellfire demo released in 1992, the band participated in a split ten years later and then disappeared. Until Baxaxaxa publicly arose from the dead in 2018 with an exclusive performance at the esteemed Destroying Texas Fest and then a gig in their native Germany. The new demo The Old Evil was released on cassette tape in October 2019. The long history of the band rooted in the mood of the second wave of black metal of the early 90's can be heard in the primitive and primordial sound that exudes evil, rot, and mystery. The Old Evil is exactly what it fucking is! Ugly 'n' primitive riffs, hammering rhythms, raw 'n' rotten recording, and hauntingly medieval synths - simply put, Baxaxaxa create black metal out of time! And out of touch, as it should stay, and will remain... And the coffin lid is yet to be closed, as Baxaxaxa prepare to conjure forth more recordings and live rituals. Beware!
