To put it simple, if you are into grim black metal, high-pitched guitars, melodic riffing, rasping vocals, Avulsion Rupture delivers it. On the album Áglæccræft we can easily notice the strong influence of the Scandinavian raw and dirty sound.
Production is filthy which is not bad at all but some riffs are too plain to be totally engaging. I think that, as a one-man project, Avulsion Rupture is a raw solid work that doesn’t present anything new but most certainly pleases the listeners looking for sounds from the British underground. Apart from this, some songs sound like a sketch, an unfinished work, and I think that they should have more work put into them.
