The first full-length Deceptis comes two years after Vanskapt, and is an album of radiant beauty. This album is aggressive from the very first second and gives no respite: every song, every single riff is full of rage and destructive fury. It goes straight to the point and for this reason, it is very engaging. But it is not raw black metal at all: on the contrary, it is a profound, misanthropic album; musically speaking, not only does it reveal complex songwriting and arrangements, but also different embellishments. Furthermore, there is never repetition, it is much varied and flows smoothly. The production could only be perfect, of course.
To sum up, Deceptis is a masterpiece, and I consider it one of the best releases of 2018. Unmissable.
