This demo can actually work as a good counterpart to Christmas celebrations. Far from being original, this demo is sufficiently obscure as it was meant to be. AntiFlesh have a good point in the fact that the use of tremolo riffs is widely counter-balanced by obsessive low-pitched chords. These chords create a gloomy atmosphere, while little space is left to melodies.
The production is rough but good for a demo and fits well the sound of the band. Although AntiFlesh can be defined raw, I would not say that they can be associated with what we usually call old school. They are certainly not innovating the genre; they do what they do without shame and without glory, but they do it well and in an enjoyable way. This demo will appeal to the indomitable lovers of raw black metal. And above all it is evil like hell!
