Both Marduk and Taake are now risking to be cancelled from the Stockholm Slaughter metal festival, which will take place at Fryshuset's premises on 27-28 April. This after the Swedish website ETC revealed that two members of Marduk have ordered propaganda material and Nazi literature from the Nordic resistance movement. Even the Norwegian band Taake has previously been criticized to pay tribute to Nazism.
When the information reached the Fryshuset management, they called the external festival organizer for an emergency meeting.
- We decided to cancel the two bands. As it seems now, the festival will take place without Marduk and Taake, at least in our premises, said Carina Balfe Arbman, communications manager at Fryshuset.
Marduk have played at Fryshuset several times before, but according to Carina Balfe Arbman, the new information is so serious that they are not welcome anymore.

The orders have been reportedly made in the band members' own names, to their national registration addresses, and from their IP addresses.
However, according to the festival organizer Vlad, Marduk have been exposed to a defamation campaign.
- There may be someone who has ordered things in their names to be bloody-minded towards the band. The evidence you present means nothing. I am completely desperate and don't know what to say anymore.
Culture commissioner Emilia Bjuggren informs that Fryshuset are receiving support from Stockholm City and will follow the guidelines set up by the municipality, and that Fryshuset shall "fight for democratic values such as diversity and tolerance".
