Mysticum have been speaking about the album Planet Satan since the late 90s. This full length was to be the successor of the debut album In the Streams of Inferno appeared in 1996 but has never been released until now. At long last, the Norwegian trio has completed the recording and the album will be released on Peaceville Records / Audioglobe on October 27, 2014.
Pioneers of Industrial Black Metal, Mysticum almost twenty years ago shook the black metal scene with their drum machines and synthesizers thus attracting the interest of Euronymous of Mayhem who signed them on his own label Deathlike Silence Production, on which however the band could never release, because of his premature death.
Planet Satan was recorded and mixed in Fias Co. Studios with producer Sverre Dæhli and mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Audio in Oslo.
What should we expect after such a long composition process? We will see, but, in the meantime, here is the tracklist:
1. LSD
2. Annihilation
3. Far
4. The Ether
5. Fist of Satan
6. All Must End
7. Cosmic Gun
8. Dissolve to Impiety
