Good news for all of you who know how to enjoy real black metal live shows!
It's about Valla.
As I told you before, Abbath ex session guitarist Per Valla has launched his new project named Valla and recently he has finished his third song “Lorelei, The Shadows Found You Once Again”.
Valla is a one man band, but since Per decided to do live shows in the future, the plan is to recruit a session drummer for those occasions and he will be on vocals and guitar. Since he is making his own music, Per does not see the point in taking session musicians for the rest of instruments, other than drums.
He said “simply because there HAS to be a drummer on the stage to provide the right energy and sound for the audience. -In other words I will do what many bands are doing these days, use backing tracks for synth and bass.”
After all, Per is the one who is playing bass and synth on the recordings, so he said "adding session musicians for all the instruments would kind of be like having dancers onstage just for the visual effect, wouldn`t it?"
I can only agree with the man!
And after all, all the people who have seen Per Valla on the stage with Abbath could feel his energy and determination; personally i am more than satisfied with the quality of Valla’s songs, so here is the new one for you to hear.
Another excellent Norwegian Black Metal band is born.
