Taake and Marduk confirm their appearance at Stockholm Slaughter at another venue

10/4/2018

After the controversial cancellation of the appearances of Marduk and Taake at the main venue of the forthcoming Stockholm Slaughter, Taake have announced with a post on Facebook that both the bands will be appearing at the festival but at another venue. here is post published on Taake's official Facebook page:

Following the extraordinary effort by the organisers, both Taake (Official) and Marduk Official WILL be appearing at Stockholm Slaughter - The Second Coming on Sunday 29th. Here is the statement by Stockholm Slaughter and more details about timings etc will follow. We would like to thank them for going above and beyond to make this happen:
"Stockholm Slaughter was founded to honour the metal scene and place Stockholm on the international festival map. The event, which is expecting visitors from 29 different countries, is entirely free from any kind of politics. We stand firmly for concepts such as artistic freedom and will never tolerate any kind of discrimination against specific groups, or ideologies that undermine human dignity and equality.
As previously reported, Marduk and Taake have been prohibited from performing at Fryshuset. We deeply regret this but have no choice but to respect their decision. We kindly ask you to do the same and keep the vibe of the festival a pleasant one.
When announcing these two great bands as part of the Stockholm Slaughter line-up, we meant it! As such, we have been toiling day and night to find a solution. We are pleased to hereby announce that we found a Stockholm venue that agreed to host an early afternoon show with Marduk Official and Taake (Official) on Sunday 29th of April.
We are aware that this means some visitors might need to make changes in their personal schedules. This is obviously most unfortunate but, under the current timeline, the only realistic solution to keep the line-up intact. We also feel that it’s very important to show them our support in these turbulent times.
2-day and Saturday tickets will obviously be valid for the Sunday show. An updated running order and more information will be published soon".
